Paper invitations, approx. 10 meters of cotton thread
44 collages and ink on paper, each measuring 14 x 21 cm
Archive book, digital print, 13 x 21 cm
The work takes shape from an attempt to save paper (and memory?) from an inexorable end: the bin. Circular portions of hundreds of art exhibition invitations, accumulated over five years, are sewn together. The paper takes on new life and is transformed into a compendium of memory, to be worn.
The 42 drawings, starting from some of the circular portions that make up the necklace, attempt to fill a void in memory. The drawings are collected in a volume that is an archive of the portions that make up the necklace and traces the related art exhibitions.
